BORED APE YACHT CLUB: FIRST RESTAURANT TO ACCEPT $APE CRYTOCURRENCY PAYMENTS
The first weekend of April saw the launch of the ‘Bored & Hungry’ restaurant, being the first to accept $APE cryptocurrency as a form of payment. Rooted in Bored Ape Yacht Club’s IP, the restaurant aims to ‘give back to the growing web 3.0 community’ and provide opportunity to others to learn from this new world of NFTs and Web 3.
It was only just the previous month when Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYB) launched the ApeCoin (APE), their own crypto token. Although Yuba labs are the brains behind BAYB, the token is completely independent of Yuga labs and is within a decentralised community (ApeCoin DAO) alongside the APE Foundation which is the steward organisation.
Nguyen reflects this the restaurant’s mission in his own words as he believes it is important to “educate the public about this new future world”. The 1,700-square-foot restaurant was envisioned by creative entrepreneur Andy Nguyen, reputable for creating a range of creative food campaigns.
This restaurant can only inspire that there are indeed ways of creating a real brand or business from the world of web 3 and this new IP whilst helping to remove stigmas around NTFs and its community. The restaurant can be found at Long Beach, California if you find yourself in the area if you wish to visit.

On the 7th of July, A$AP Bari unveiled details for another VLONE’S London pop-up store, through his personal Instagram account. As well as that Bari also unveiled Air Force 1 High all black colourway. Unlike previous Air-force collaborations between VLONE and Nike, this new sneaker is very minimal and clean aesthetic.
With their new release and hype of Nikes flagship trainer release the Air ‘Vapormax’ but since the original release of the trainers, Nike has begun to slowly roll-out a series of new colourways. The latest release is dubbed ‘City tribes’ which is a tribal theme green silhouette. The trainer comes out today July 10th and will retail for $190 USD.
With a new store opening today, Thorm Browne decided to Host a Tennis match that involved limited edition Capsule collection. These pieces will be available at the Mayfair store today the 11th of July. The collection has a very retro aesthetic taking inspiration from the sport of tennis and traditional tailoring.
