WANYOO

As the world’s largest esports studio and gaming cafe chain, Wanyoo has opened a new branch at Westfield Stratford in East London, making this their fourth UK based studio, other locations include Charing Cross, Canary Wharf and Coventry. They feature pay-as-you-go PC zones as well as cafe areas, with a ‘butler-style’ food and drink service. Each gaming station features a service button to request staff for refreshment orders.

Wanyoo has imposed safety measures, with hand sanitiser, disposable headset covers and wet wipes, and says its facilities are ‘Covid-secure’.

PRESOTEA UK

Beautiful Insta worthy interior and even better boa tea, Presotea is the modern Taiwanese premium tea brewers made by their very own connoisseur tea artists. Apart from the boa tea, they also have a selection of delicious food dishes, run regular K-Pop inspired events and seating outside.

DIORIVIERA POP-UP AT SELFRIDGES

Dior has turned Selfridges’ rooftop restaurant into the French Riviera. With a menu composed of dishes selected by the House, including some of Monsieur Dior’s favourites and drinks that pay tribute to Dior’s history – this is the ultimate lavish dining destination for the summer.

There is also a Dioriviera collection of fashion, accessories and even surfboards, all featuring the House’s signature toile de Jouy print, which plays out across the restaurant.

NAC

Located behind Oxford Street, NAC is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the shoppers and has still has a sense Mayfair decadent elegance about it. NAC is perfect for a long, lounging breakfast and the menu is full of tempting dishes that you’d want to go back repeatedly to try them all.

PARK ROW

An immersive DC comics-themed restaurant, first of its kind in the world, has been created in partnership with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment and DC. Inspired by the stories of all of your favourite superheroes, you can expect to see the spirit of Gotham City come to life in the dramatic interiors and creative dishes at this new haunt, which is set to open on August 10.

All set within a breathtaking Art Deco Grade II listed space on Soho’s Brewer Street, Park Row will be split into five sections: a lounge bar called Pennyworth’s, named after Bruce Wayne’s butler; a dining area called Iceberg Lounge with live entertainment, inspired by The Penguin; The Rogue’s Gallery, a dining experience inspired by Selina Kyle’s Katwoman; a separate ‘speakeasy’ zone called Old Gotham City serving up cocktails and bar snacks; and finally, space for the Monarch Theatre.

NIKE’S NEW RECYCLED COLLECTION

“Move to Zero” is Nike’s new trainer range consisting of their most sustainable shoes to date. Produced by eco-friendly materials, such as recycled cork from the wine industry or bark that’s produced in a way that isn’t harmful to the tree, each pair are 20% recycled materials.

The soles of the trainers are an outcome of the Plant Cork Pack, a process that infused the cork into the rubber sole. This product release marks Nike’s air to become ‘zero carbon and zero waste’.

The collection includes both new and updated trainer designs; you can purchase the beloved Air Force 1 or Blazer Mild and Air Max alongside a new silhouette, Nike Crate Impact. Their Air VaporMax 2021 is one of their ‘most sustainable shoes to date’ as it’s produced by over 50% recycled resources.

The capsule is inspired by ‘the natural world’ but it isn’t just the sole’s that are eco-friendly, ‘Each shoe is dedicated to a plant we love and brought to life through embroidered botanical designs, scientific infographics and dye sourced from the plant itself.’ Dohnn Ball, on the Plant Cork Pack team, revealed further the inspiration behind the trainer designs, saying, ‘On each shoe we are highlighting a plant, and whatever colour that plant is processed into is the accent colour on that shoe”.
